Lucy talks about the Power of Content Marketing

Today marked a turning point for Yazaroo, as we announced this morning at the ConnectSurrey meeting that I have joined the team. I am delighted to take on the role of Marketing Director using my skills in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), social media, content marketing, video marketing and much more. I am really looking forward to helping Ed and the team to create a leading brand design and marketing agency, and to help them achieve their business goals.

As I was the speaker at today’s event, I gave a presentation about content marketing and how it can help brands build huge followings on social media and online. Content marketing should be a key element of any brand’s arsenal, because it can be the difference between a business succeeding or failing. Some of the World’s most celebrated brands have heavily invested in their content marketing strategy in order to build their brands online and offline. Content marketing is a cornerstone of digital marketing, because it builds trust and credibility amongst audiences both new and established. It also ensures that fans continue to engage with your brand by sharing your updates with their contacts.

During the presentation I also announced the new services that we are offering: SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), Google Ads (Pay-Per-Click), Social Media Marketing Campaigns, Social Listening and Content Marketing. Our goal as an agency is to be a one-stop shop for all of your online and offline marketing needs, with a strong focus on design.

The Yazaroo approach to content creation involves:

  1. Strategy – building an effective content marketing strategy that delivers on the business objectives
  2. Post – posting/sharing the content at the best times
  3. Engagement – monitoring the engagement rates/fans’ responses to our content
  4. Review – review and amend the strategy according to how our audience responds.

Power of Content Marketing

One of the best examples of content marketing that we’ve seen is by Volvo. The video we are sharing in this blog post was released on YouTube as long ago as 2013. However, the execution of the video and the manner in which it was produced is truly astonishing. Volvo hired Jean Claude van Damme, the famous Belgian actor and martial artist to perform the splits in order to demonstrate how precise and accurate their lorry systems are. As a result, the video had over 95M views on YouTube, and they now have over 338K subscribers on their YouTube channel.
